Today was mainly spent planning a few lessons.

This friday I will take one class the demonstrates the practical use of a spreadsheet. I thought to bring in the one I keep on my electricity readings to show the girls. This gives them a real world example of how it can be used. I have totals such as ‘average monthly bill’ and ‘daily usage’ and graphs to show how much electricity we use around our house.

Next week I’ll be giving a class on principles of design. This will be for two different periods and with two different associates. I spent a few hours working up a powerpoint that should be impressive if all goes well. I think I’ll ask Glenis Falloon if she can come for that.
